the princess and the pea

If I had to pick any fairy tale to describe me it would have to be the princess and the pea. Leaving my beautiful bed behind was one of my chief concerns coming to the Jerusalem Center. Let me just show you why.

This is my bed in my dorm room freshman year:

You can't see all of the pillows so I will just tell you that there are 8 there. And I sleep with 5 of them. There are also 3 blankets and an inch thick mattress pad that make my bed sooo comfortable!

This is my bed here at the Jerusalem Center:

Yep. You can count the pillow in this picture. There is only one! This has been a big challenge for me but I am trying to suck it up. They did give us two blankets but they aren't nearly as soft or as warm as my blankets at home. My mom made me the BYU one that is on top of my bed and I am so grateful to have one blanket that is not covered in someone else's hair! Eeewww!!!

Other interesting facts about my room are:

• 4 of us share it
• we have a beautiful patio overlooking the city
• the whole thing (bedroom, bathroom, closets and patio) could probably fit into my parents' bedroom without even counting their bathroom or closet
