The countdown is counting down really fast! I am in the single digits and I only have 9 days until I leave for Jerusalem! Everything is coming along just great. I almost have all of my clothes narrowed down. They still don’t quite all fit in my suitcase but I’m getting really close. My apartment is over halfway packed and my cousin is coming to get the rest of my stuff on Friday. I’ve almost eaten all the food in my fridge but I still have a long way to go with my cupboard. Does anyone need some pancake/waffle mix? I’m not quite sure why but I have 3 boxes of it! Even though everything is getting cleaned out and packed up the fact that I’m leaving the country for 3 ½ months hasn’t quite sunk in yet. I think it is still a little too much for me to understand. I have been out of the United States for about one week of my life so this is just kinda crazy. But I’m really excited and I can’t wait to go! I know it is going to be the most amazing experience ever!
Things I am going to miss while I am away:
- my bed!
- talking to my parents everyday
- Sunday dinners with my best friends
- Froot Loops and Golden Grahams
- cooking
- going to the nursing home
- BYU basketball
- Disney Channel
- my high heels
Yeah, I can probably live without those things for 3 ½ months!
Things I am going to love about being away:
- probably just about everything!
- visiting wonders of the world
- walking where Jesus walked
- not paying rent
- shopping!
- no snow
- seeing the world from a different perspective
- pictures!
- learning all about the Near East
- field trips!
- making new friends
